In my book I have a chapter on "Change is okay!" because it is. Cancer taught me many things and the one big thing is that, change is happening and it isn't going to stop just because I want it to. Today 11/17/2011 marks my 31 months as a cancer survivor!
Change is going to happen in your life and everyone you know, every day, every second of the day. The understanding that "it is what it is" also a sub-chapter in my book, change is happening every second, the question is are you accepting change or fighting it? When the Doctor tell's you that you have cancer or any other terrible thing you can't turn it off, can't go back in time, no changing the message, you can fight it, build your "Cancer-Fighting Team" and get ready for the change that is going to happen. Just like many things in life both at home and work, things change, and the better we can adapt, adjust and accept change the better the journey will be.
Working with sales and leadership teams it sometimes amazes me how hard it is to change for some people, the barriers that we build, the excuses and the justifications don't help us deal with change, they may postpone some of the change, but if change is happening then either change with it or get out of the way, don't become a barrier, be a warrior!
Change is okay, I help change happen, I encourage change and I love change because then I grow, just as you do!
Here I go again, encouraging change, through inspiration!

I remember the fellow I was speaking with was scared to death to get up in front of the hundreds of people at this Cancer Survivor Celebration, but guess what, he changed his thinking which changed his fear to excitement! Change is okay.
